Johnston Road (US 521) and Ballantyne Commons Parkway Improvements Update
Thursday, January 08, 2015
Bissell will begin the final phase of its area road improvements at the intersection of Johnston Road (US 521) and Ballantyne Commons Parkway on Monday, January 12.

Two sets of dual turn lanes will be created turning onto Johnston Road (US 521) from Ballantyne Commons Parkway. One set of turn lanes will accommodate drivers heading north (right) while another set will be added for drivers heading south (left).

To ensure safety throughout construction, the contractor will enforce traffic control measures, including lane closures. The project is expected to be completed by the end of April.

As we receive additional information about potential impact to traffic, we will post updates on the project’s progress here.

Donate Your Used Computers & Make a Global Impact This Week
Tuesday, January 06, 2015

Please join us for Ballantyne Corporate Park’s Computer Drive to benefit the Heineman Foundation of Charlotte, a nonprofit organization that specializes in educational and medical outreach.

The Heineman Foundation will come to your office and collect your used, functional computer equipment. This is a great opportunity for any individuals or companies looking to upgrade their technologies. This service is free of charge, and all donations are tax-deductible.

Each piece of equipment will be refurbished and donated abroad to the Technology for Education project in Guatemala. All hard drives will be wiped clean following U.S. Department of Defense standards.

Since 2011, the Heineman Foundation has donated more than 14,000 computers to this project thanks to the generous support of Charlotte-based organizations.
