Carolina Summer Tea

Celebrate summer in style with a special version of The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge’s popular traditional afternoon tea in its Main Lobby from Thursday, June 20 through Saturday, June 22, 1:00pm – 5:00pm. Enjoy a flavorful menu of savory tea sandwiches and summertime-inspired pastries accompanied by a variety of loose leaf tea from Harney & Sons Teas. Décor will incorporate seasonal accents, including white linens adorned with lace and special china.

The cost is $32 for adults and $16 for children, ages 4 to 12 (plus tax & gratuity). To add to the fun spirit of the Carolina Summer Tea, guests are encouraged to wear white and straw hats. For reservations, please call (704) 248-4100.

Movies In The Park

Movies in the Park kicks off their summer movie series on Friday, May 17, in Ballantyne Corporate Park. The first movie of the summer is Tangled. Enjoy free popcorn and bottled water at this FREE family friendly event sponsored by Next Level Church.

Movies begin at dusk and are held every third Friday through August at the Brixham Tent. Bring your blankets to watch a movie under the stars right here in Ballantyne!


Power Up Challenge

The Charlotte Chamber of Commerce invites small business owners and entrepreneurs to participate in the Power Up Challenge. The Power Up Challenge identifies promising startups and small businesses in each chapter footprint, awards a prize package to one company in each chapter footprint, and awards a grand prize to one finalist. Competitors are asked to present their organizations’ stories to chapter members, and chapter members will vote on the winners. Applications are due May 31, 2013.
