Celebrate Valentine’s Day in the Ballantyne Area
Tuesday, February 09, 2016

Most people have a love-hate relationship Valentine's Day. When you have a significant other to share it with, it can be exciting. You get to spend time with your valentine and do something special. But if you’re still looking, Valentine’s Day is often better known as Single Awareness Day.

Whether you are taken or single, do not waste time sitting in the house or wishing your situation was different. Enjoy it with the people you love and have fun! Here are a few things to do in the Ballantyne area to make the most of your Valentine’s Day.

One of the best ways to enjoy V-Day is with something sweet. If you’re bored with heart-shaped candy boxes, try a treat from Edible Arrangements. Receive 15% off any purchase with your BCP card. It’s a great token of love to share with your sweetheart, a good friend, or enjoy one on your own! Who says you can’t eat a whole edible arrangement by yourself?

If you’re in the mood to hang out with friends, there are plenty of things to do in the Park. Relax with your girls and get a manicure and pedicure at Ultra Nail Bar. The nail salon is new to the BCP program. First-time clients with a BCP card will receive $5 off their first visit and 15% off any service $35 or more. For the guys - how about a game of golf? The Golf Club at Ballantyne offers 20% off regular green fees, cart fees and range balls for BCP card holders.

Couples who are looking for a lovely evening to enjoy with your valentine, BCP has the perfect solution. Enjoy a three-course prix fixe menu at Gallery Restaurant. The meal includes a choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert of $75 per person (plus tax and gratuity). For reservations, please visit or call 704-248-4100.

Another festive option is to dance the night away at the Ballantyne Ball. The second annual masquerade-themed event will be held at The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge. Proceeds will benefit The Sandbox

If you have any events and activities to add, send them our way! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Ballantyne Briefings: No Guts, No Gain
Wednesday, January 27, 2016

The first Ballantyne Briefings of 2016 was held January 26 at Aloft Charlotte Ballantyne. Business owners and professionals enjoyed mingling and sales training from sales guru Jim Dunn. Dunn, President of Dunn Enterprises/Sandler Training, presented "No Guts, No Gain: The Art of Closing More Deals" to a packed room.

Dunn's briefing was full of valuable advice, such as avoid inauthentic communication, display passion for what you do, employ a process that builds trust, and be assertive yet nurturing with your approach. In addition to the great people and topic, everyone enjoyed delicious BBQ from Midwood Smokehouse in Ballantyne. Bissell Companies is the series sponsor.

The second quarter Ballantyne Briefing will be on Tuesday, April 5. Greg Gentner, COO of rFactr, will cover social media for business. Stay tuned for more details on Ballantyne Briefings' Facebook page.

Ballantyne Area Food for Thought: Something New
Friday, January 29, 2016

Submitted by Pariss Coleman

It’s hard not to be impressed by the variety of lunch options in the Ballantyne area. If you’re in the mood for a sandwich, sushi, food trucks, fine dining, Indian or Peruvian, BCP has it all!

Driving around the Ballantyne area while you are hungry will make you forget about the lunch you packed. There are several options and it is hard to choose! I decided to compile my list and will start with four. I picked selections from different categories and researched what I’m interested in trying. Cheers to leaving my lunchbox home for something new!

American: Burger 21

Who doesn’t love a good burger? Burger 21 is conveniently located in Ballantyne Village, and there’s an option to get a half and half order of fries - regular and sweet potato. Burger 21, you got me. I look forward to meeting you, and your fries.

Italian/Pasta: Lorenzo’s Pizzeria

After reviewing the website and menu options online, I think I’m going to leave Lorenzo’s full and happy. I have no idea what I want to try. I can't decide right now. However, the mouthwatering pictures of the pizza already have me thinking about which toppings I want when I get there...

Greek: Kabob Grill

I love Greek dishes, especially falafels. I’m excited to visit Kabob Grill in StoneCrest. The lunch specials on the menu look appetizing, and as a part-time vegetarian (I’ll get there one day), I think I may go with the vegetarian combo.

Mexican: Cantina 1511

I’ve heard great things about Cantina and any time tacos, chips and dip are in the picture, I’m interested. You can never go wrong with a quesadilla in my book, but I think I’d like to step aside from my usual preference and try the Enchiladas de Pollo or a Chimichanga.

Decisions, decisions.

I'm also looking forward to using my BCP Card in the Ballantyne area! Click here to find out how you can save with current BCP Card discounts.

Check back in a couple of weeks to see how it goes! Bon Appétit!

Route 43 Bus Route Has Expanded in BCP
Monday, February 01, 2016

Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) has expanded bus service in Ballantyne Corporate Park. Route 43 added service at North Community House Road. The new bus stop is located in front of the parking deck adjacent to the Everett Building.

A new stop was created on the northwest corner of Ballantyne Commons Parkway and Ballantyne Corporate Place. Concrete pads were installed at the two new locations on January 21.

Existing routing on Brixham Hill Avenue and Ballantyne Medical Place were discontinued. Customers using the bus stop on Brixham Hill Avenue may instead use the bus stops on Ballantyne Corporate Place. Customers using the bus stop on Ballantyne Medical Place may instead use the new bus stop on Ballantyne Commons Parkway. The end of the line has moved to the Ballantyne Corporate Place bus stop near Aloft Charlotte Ballantyne.

We have attached a map highlighting the route changes that impact Ballantyne Corporate Park. Click here to learn more about the new schedule or call 704-336-RIDE.
