MetLife Donates $30,000 to Easter Seals

On June 18, MetLife presented a check donation of $30,000 to Easter Seals. The donation was made in honor of Disability Insurance Awareness Month, which takes place each May. 

MetLife team members Gene Lunman, executive vice president of Retail Life & Disability, Kieran Mullins, senior vice president of Third Party Sales, Matt Quale, vice president, U.S. Retail Marketing, Brian Bruneau, assistant vice president of Life & Disability Marketing and Sutton White, Director of product marketing, as well as the Disability Insurance Marketing team, presented the check to Jennifer Crumpler, VP for Development of Easter Seals and Michael Schultze, Foundation Chair of Easter Seals.

MetLife selected Easter Seals as the recipient of the donation because of the agency’s dedication to help children and adults with disabilities attain greater independence. Easter Seals provides exceptional services, education, outreach and advocacy to people living with autism and other disabilities so they may live, learn, work and play in our communities. MetLife offers disability insurance as part of its product portfolio and is committed to offering a product that assists people in continuing to live a fulfilled life after and during a disability.

YMCA Corporate Softball League Update

The Morrison YMCA's Corporate Softball League is underway and Team Boom Boom is in first place. The league is held on Thursday evenings and features six teams, including representation from MetLife, XPO Logistics and ESPN. View the standings here and updated schedule here.

 Firebirds exceeded its goal of $75,000 to donate to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, donating $100,000 from all 37 locations. The Knotts Green lemonade stand generated $306 in donations. Thanks to all who came out and look forward to hosting an even more successful stand next year!

New Police Chief Kerr Putney to Speak at Ballantyne Breakfast Club

The next Ballantyne Breakfast Club meeting will be held Saturday, June 27 at 9 a.m. at The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge in the Fairway Ballroom. The guest speaker will be new Charlotte Police Chief Kerr Putney. He will discuss some of the issues and concerns CMPD is dealing with and how important community involvement is. Charlotte City Manager Ron Carlee, Chair of Community Safety, City Council Representative At Large Claire Fallon and District 7 City Council Representative Ed Driggs will also be present. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 8:30 a.m. to socialize and enjoy complimentary refreshments provided by the hotel. For more information, please contact Ray Eschert.
